David Schuster is an executive producer, a former boxing promoter and content generator. In the film industry, Schuster was the early believer who optioned the Harry Haft story, which was developed into the Barry Levinson-directed film, "Survivor." The story is based on former heavyweight Harry Haft, who boxed his way out of the Auschwitz concentration camp and later fought Rocky Marciano. Ben Foster stars as Haft. His other work includes, executive producer for the second season of the Amazon hit series, "Gravesend," which features Willie DeMeo, Fran Drescher and Armand Asante. David is also the executive producer of the award-winning short film, "Leylak."
In boxing, Schuster has worked with Showtime, Fox Sports, CBS Sports Network to help produce and promote live televised boxing cards. He's worked with world champions Ismael Barroso, Chris Algieri, Rob Brant and Joe Smith Jr. He also executive produced the award-winning documentary, "Sunnyside," the last of New York's legendary fight clubs. Sunnyside aired on SNY TV in New York
He was also responsible for producing, for the first boxing-only film festival, "The Shadow Box Film Festival," which ran in New York City from 2012 to 2014.
