New Delhi, Aug 29 (Ians) The Indian Deaf Cricket Association (Idca) has announced the final list of players for the forthcoming Deaf International Cricket Council (Dicc) T20 World Cup 2023.
The team of 15 players selected by the Idca committee will represent India in the world championship to be held in Doha (Qatar) from December 1 to December 12, 2023. Captain Virendra Singh will lead the team to bring the coveted trophy home.
Teams from eight nations will compete against each other for 12 days and nights to win the title of the world champion. A total of 28 matches will be played in the Asian Town Cricket Stadium, Doha (Qatar).
On the occasion, Sumit Jain, president of the Idca, said, “Our team is elated and well-prepared for the upcoming World Cup championship in Qatar. We won the 2022 tournament and are optimistic about bringing the trophy to India this time as well.”

New Delhi, Jan 21 (Ians) Indian Deaf Cricket Association (Idca) Tri-Nation One Day International (Odi) for the deaf will be held from April 28 to May 6 in Kolkata.
In this tournament, deaf cricket teams from India, Bangladesh and Nepal will compete with each other to take the coveted trophy home.
For the upcoming tournament, Idca has till now shortlisted the names of 21 players based on their past performance. Out of this, 16 players will be selected for the Tri-Nation tournament by a five-member selection committee after an internal meeting scheduled to be held on January 28 and 29, here.
The committee will be headed by Dev Dutt (Coach). Vinod Kumar Matta (Chief Selector), MP Singh (Head Coach), Sumit Jain (President), Ajay Kumar (Secretary) and Manish Goel (Treasurer) will be on the panel.

New Delhi, Aug 12 (Ians) The Deaf Cricket Society (Dcs) on Friday announced the squad which will be representing Delhi in the upcoming sixth T20 National Cricket Championship for Deaf, to be held from November 14 to 20 in Agra and Kanpur. The week-long championship, to be organised by U.P. Deaf Cricket Association (Updca), will witness teams from across the country competing for the coveted T20 Championship title.
The final team selection camp for the Delhi side was held on August 7 at Venkateshwara International School, Sector-10, Dwarka, which saw participation of many talented cricket players from the State.
After a tough competition and based on performance and excellence showcased by all players, the jury short-listed nineteen players who will now represent the Delhi State team for the championship.
“The enthusiasm from the players across the states is overwhelming. Cricket being the most-loved sports in India receives support from all across the country regardless of the category.

"I'm playing a cop for the first time for the show 'Crime Patrol Dastak' special and the role is very powerful and strong," Manish said in a statement.
