- Andrew Heaton Travis was born in Encinitas, California and is the oldest of 7 children, 4 who are adopted. Andrew got his start in acting at the Hope Center Arts Academy in Jersey City, NJ and is an alumni of the Hoboken Children's Theater, Kidz Theater New York and the Papermill Playhouse Summer Conservatory. - Andrew is deeply concerned about the issue of homeless children in America and is a co-founder of a non-profit organization, Project Bookworm, that places small libraries in homeless shelters for single moms and children and provides literacy resources to homeless children. Andrew works to raise awareness of child homelessness and illiteracy and has arranged for the donation of thousands of books to homeless shelters through Project Bookworm. In 2015 and in 2016, Andrew and his friends were twice awarded a Jefferson Award for community service through the national organization, Students in Action.
