Jag Bains won his third comp and third Veto of “Big Brother 25” this week — and it wasn’t just any old Veto. It was Otev. And with it, he joins the esteemed list of Otev champs. But will he defy the Otev curse and become only the second Otev winner after Cody Calafiore to go on to win the game?
Before Cody, no one had ever won both in the same season. Since Otev made its debut in Season 7 in 2006, it’s been in every installment except Season 10. Here are all the Otev champs:

Michael Bruner picked up his fifth comp win and fourth Veto this week on “Big Brother 24” when he won Otev. Sure, he was also aided by Terrance Higgins throwing it to him in a misbegotten attempt to save Daniel Durston, but still, a win is a win. That also means that his festie bestie Brittany Hoopes is in the “Bb” annals as a co-winner of Otev even though she was the first one to be eliminated from the comp. As a superfan, Michael is no doubt aware of the Otev curse and the fact that Cody Calafiore broke it in 2020 when he became the first Otev champ to win the whole game in the same season. That didn’t kick off a new trend, though, since Alyssa Lopez was evicted in seventh place last season. Can Michael or Brittany become the second?

Alyssa Lopez won Otev this week on “Big Brother 23” — or technically, she was thrown it by Kyland Young, who wanted her to win so he could get the second Veto since he bet on her in Veto Derby. No matter, she’s still in the “Bb” record books now as an Otev champ. The good news for her is that the Otev curse has been broken, by Cody Calafiore last year, but the bad news is that she’s unlikely to pull a Cody and win the whole shebang.
Until Cody last season, nobody had won the iconic Veto comp and gone on to win the season. Otev was introduced in Season 7, the first all-stars installment, in 2006 and has been played every year except Season 10. Here are all the Otev champs:

It’s the end of an era. With Cody Calafiore‘s win on “Big Brother 22” on Wednesday, the Otev curse is has been broken as he became the first Otev champ to go on to win the game.

Otev is making its grand return to “Big Brother” this week, and we just have to say two things: 1) If its identity isn’t mask-themed, then what is the point? 2) Good luck to whoever wins because no Otev champ has gone on to win the $500,000.

After a wild, yet-to-be-seen house meeting, Tommy Bracco was evicted from “Big Brother 21” on Thursday, ending his dream of taking home the $500,000. But we told you last month that he wouldn’t win — because he had won Otev.

Tommy Bracco won Otev on “Big Brother 21” this week, which is great news for him and Christie Murphy, whom he saved after she became the third nominee from America’s Field Trip. It’s bad news for Cliff Hogg III and Kathryn Dunn, who remain on the block, and any “Big Brother” fan who craves shakeups, of which this season has been sorely deprived. But it’s also bad news for Tommy because no Otev champ has gone on to win the game.
Introduced in Season 7, the iconic Veto comp has been in every installment since except for Season 10, which was won by Dan Gheesling. Dan, of course, returned in Season 14 and played and won that Otev, but he came up short in the finale, falling to Ian Terry. So technically Dan is the only Otev champ to have won “Big Brother,” but those triumphs were in two separate seasons.

"Big Brother's" rock 'n roll teddy bear Adam Poch -- famous on the show for his love of bacon and "Beverly Hills 90210" -- has tied the knot, People reports.
Poch and longtime girlfriend Fara Herzfeld were married Saturday (April 20) in New Jersey in a traditional Jewish ceremony that also included lots of bacon. Um, what?
"Wait, traditional Jewish ceremony at a bacon-themed wedding, can you say 'oxymoron'?" Herzfeld tells People. And Poch's brother Seth says the couple is joined in "holy and unkosher matrimony."
The reception included pigs in a blanket and bacon-wrapped filets, chicken breasts and veal chops, with bowls of bacon crumbles on the tables. Herzfeld even surprised Poch with a bacon-themed groom's cake.
He did propose at Pig Island during the New York festival, after all.

Adam Poch, probably the biggest fan of the show in the house, took third place on "Big Brother 13." He tells Zap2it about how awesome his experience was and why he voted for Porsche to win the money.
As a fan, was "Big Brother" everything you hoped it would be?
"It was everything I hoped it to be and then some. As a fan of the show, you watch the show, you root for people, but you honestly do not have a clue what you are doing until you are in there and have to make the decisions and have to play the challenges. It was so overwhelming at first. As we went along in the game, I figured things out. I trusted people early that I shouldn't have trusted and worked with people later that I wanted to work with. Watching it on TV is so much easier than actually doing it.

Could Rachel Reilly do the impossible?
On the season finale of Big Brother 13, she seemed poised to. The enemy of the house for so long - multiple summers now - was about to complete the ultimate comeback. If she could win HoH, $500K would be hers.
Or would it?
Not surprisingly, she ousted Porsche Briggs and Adam Poch in the first part of the final Head of Household battle, then bested the former in the final portion. Given the choice of who to bring to the jury, she chose ...
Porsche. Rachel liked her odds against this floater better, perhaps due to Adam's pure likability. Porsche had been the stronger competitor in recent weeks, no doubt earning her place in the finale. But winning it?
Surprisingly, she came close.

So it all comes down to Porsche Briggs, Adam Poch and Rachel Reilly in the "Big Brother 13" house. Who do you think takes it? According to our poll, Rachel is the clear-cut winner in a landslide. We shall see.
Head of Household Competition
In case you don't follow the live feeds, the show shows us the first round of the Hoh - which in an incredible display of weakness, took about 45 minutes. People were joking all over twitter that the next round should be things like who can stay seated the longest or who can sleep the longest. Seriously, this was weak sauce.
But anyway, so Rachel wins. The second round involves placing "Big Brother" contestant heads along a wall in a giant water tank in order they were HOHs. Porsche says it's a lot harder than it looks, but honestly - that looks pretty hard.

What is the point of Big Brother, really? Well, for starters, it's about forming alliances, competing, strategizing, manipulating, backstabbing, giving others a sense of false comfort and, in some cases, downright lying. All that while still keeping the jury on your side, mind you! And tonight, before the winner of the CBS show's 13th season was crowned, it was about hanging onto a board while whirling around in a disturbingly yellow vat of butter. Anyway, who was the mastermind with the most: newcomer Adam Poch, fellow newbie Porsche Briggs or veteran Rachel Reilly? "Porsche, I adore you, I'm very proud of you. And Rachel, you're lucky this is not a personality contest,"...

The Big Brother 13 finale is over and we have a winner! One lucky houseguest walks away from tonight’s final episodes as the official Big Brother 13 winner and takes home $500,000. The second place runner-up gets a pretty nice consolation prize of $50,000. As for the poor third place person, well, they just go home crying. Warning: Spoilers Ahead If You Have Not Seen The Episode Yet!
In the first half of the episode, we saw the results of the final Head of Household Competition, which determined who would get the final eviction vote. Fiery redhead Rachel Reilly won the first round of the contest and blond bombshell Porsche Briggs won the second round. This left Porsche and Rachel to battle it out in the third round to claim the final eviction vote power.
In the end, Rachel Reilly proved once again that she is way too good at these Big Brother competitions.

Is Rachel going to pull it out, with most of the Jury House on her side? Or will Porsche win as the newbie who played the best game? We aren't sure Adam has a much of a chance - he's very likable, but he didn't do much throughout the season, he just wasn't a big enough threat to take out and all of a sudden he won the Top 4 Hoh to get himself to the finals.
