The film was the opening feature of the Prestwick World Festival of Flight. She continued to document Scottish Culture through her second documentary, Adventures on a New Path, which explored stories from communities who had reclaimed land in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Ash also works in fiction, having created several live-action dramas including Alone (2016), The Zone (2018) and Abandoned (2018) and animated short films including Spooky Memes (2020). Her films have played in festivals all over the world.
In recent years she began to specialise in post-production working in editing and animation, including How We're Wired (2022, BBC), The Conscious Closet (2022, BBC) and I Won't Stand For It (2023, CBBC).
In 2022 she was commissioned by GMAC film and Screen Scotland to create a documentary about Scottish heritage and legacy.
She also creates short, insightful online content which has been featured on BBC Scotland and is the main focus of her Youtube channel, Ash on Film. She is passionate about portraying Scotland as a vibrant, inspirational community and aims to bring fascinating stories to life through film.
