Mike is the Founder, and Managing Partner of Write Paths Studio LLC, a creative arts company providing services to the Film, Theatre and Music Entertainment industries. As a musician, he has fronted various rock/R&B bands as lead singer and rhythm guitarist, produced and
performed in the music video of a new Christmas song, This Fine Gift (search YouTube), and produced the recording of another new Christmas song, Christmas Time of Year, featuring former Disney star actress Christy Carlson-Romano. As a Playwright and Composer/Lyricist, he wrote the book and numerous songs for his new musical, Ring From the Gum Machine (formally, Climb My Mountain). As a Producer and Investor, he has been involved in Broadway and Off-Broadway productions including Mary Stuart, 13, Burn the Floor, The 39 Steps US Tour, Whites Lies, and Groundswell. He was involved in the new musical, Minsky's, which premiered at the Ahmanson Theatre, Los Angeles in 2009, featuring music by Charles Strouse (Bye Bye Birdie, Annie), lyrics by Susan Birkenhead, book by Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone), directed by Casey Nicholaw (Book of Mormom, with Lead Producers Kevin McCollum and Bob Boyett. Mike also recently produced the film short, Lost Causes, which was an Official Selection of the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival with a screening in August 2012.
Born raised in Middletown, CT, Mike has roots in NYC/Brooklyn. His Great-Grandfather, Bill Madigan, was a catcher with the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Mike graduated from St. Michael's College with a BA in Psychology, and also holds an MBA from Bentley University's McCallum Graduate School of Business, and is an alumnus of the Commercial Theater Institute. Mike has over 30 years of experience in management, and consulting with numerous Fortune 500 Companies including American Express, United Technologies, Raytheon, Wachovia, and The Hartford.
