If bugs bug you, then you might want to stay clear of a new horror anthology film that weaves three creepy crawler tales of terror. Creeping Crawling is set to slither onto DVD/VOD in just over a month. If you suffer from entomophobia, then consider this a warning.
John Russell Cring directs Raine Brown, Anna Shields, Chuck Girard, Sarah VonOuhl, and Laura Lafrate in this trilogy of insect insanity.
Synopsis:
You live with them, you feed them, you fear them. Creeping Crawling is an anthology featuring three tales of terror centered around things that go slither in the night.
Doug and Allison have a paper due and they're hoping an eccentric entomologist will be the lynch pin to a passing grade. They get more than they bargained for when Dr. Tarkovsky tells them the story of Grubbery and the lengths supermodel Denver will go to in order to keep her figure.

We didn't think it would happen, but a foreigner has been named "America's Next Top Model!"Sophie Sumner of Oxford, England edged out Laura Lafrate of Scotia, New York as the winner of Season 18 of the long-running modeling competition. This cycle's theme was "British Invasion," with seven U.S. models competing against seven U.K. models. Sumner won over Tyra Banks and the judges with her strong photos and vivacious personality. Sumner previously competed on "Britain's Next Top Model" and was the runner-up in Season 5 of that show. During "America's Next Top Model," Sophie expressed doubt that a Brit could win, and was visibly surprised when she was named the winner. Check out her winning moment below:Sophie's prizes include a $100,000 contract with Covergirl, contracts with L.A. Models and New York Model Management, a guest correspondent role on "Extra," a fashion spread in Vogue Italia. She also will record a...

America's Next Top Model's clash of nations wrapped up Wednesday night, with Britain's Sophie Sumner and America's Laura Lafrate squaring off in the finale. So, who did their country most proud? Read on to find out the winner. After a dramatic finale that saw Lafrate rushed to the hospital early on with an apparent panic attack, it was Sumner who walked away with the title. The judges heaped praise on the British contestant, with host Tyra Banks even using the word "genius" to describe her work in one contest. The show's 18th cycle, themed "British Invasion," featured American and British models competing.

It was Season Finale time on "America's Next Top Model: British Invasion" (Wed., 9 p.m. Et on The CW) Wednesday night and the models braced themselves to find out who would be crowned the winner.
First, though, they had their last challenges, a commercial shoot for CoverGirl, a shoot for Vogue Italia and a runway show for Forever 21.
However, it all became too much for one of the two finalists.
Laura Lafrate from Scotia, New York collapsed at the CoverGirl shoot, sparking off a medical emergency. She was rushed to the hospital where doctors diagnosed a severe panic attack.
Next the girls were taken to Vogue Italia, where again Laura struggled but Brit model Sophie Sumner shone.
Finally, after the girls walked the runway for Forever 21, Tyra Banks stood to announce the results. The winner was ... Sophie.

It's all come down to this! After weeks of runways and go-sees and photoshoots and superhero names, only Brit Sophie and American Laura are still standing. But which one of them will be crowned America's Next Top Model? We're about to find out! Laura and Sophie are loving the fact that they're the only two models remaining, but though they are friends, they don't waste any time in telling us that it's still a competition. Sophie admits that she has no idea which way it's going to swing... but on the plus side, she does have her pink hair back!

It was finally time to crown a new Top Model, after a battle royale between U.K. contestant Sophie Sumner and American contender Laura Lafrate. But we couldn't get there before a little bit of drama (and more booty shaking from Laura). So what happened? And who ultimately won it all? While Sophie recorded the dialogue for her CoverGirl commercial (which was fantastic—but then again, she could say the most crude things ever and it would still sound absolutely amazing), Laura was shooting the ad for the makeup line. And right when she finished, Laura started having a panic attack. Yeah, seriously. The crew even took her to the hospital—but don't worry, she was fine and got back...

The "America's Next Top Model: British Invasion" cycle came to an end Wednesday night (May 30) and the winner is ... Sophie Sumner. This was Sophie's second trip to the Final 2, as she made it that far on her cycle of "Britain's Next Top Model," but this time it ended better for her.
The finale saw the girls do the annual Cover Girl commercial and print ad shoot. Laura has a panic attack in the middle of the shoot and is taken to the hospital, but she rallies and performs well at a photo shoot for Vogue Italia - her look is very complimentary to the high-fashion spa surroundings of the shoot.
Tyra comes to the house to give Laura a counseling session, to which Laura says in a talking-head moment, "She wasn't just a judge. She was Tyra Banks, a person, just like everybody else." Heh.

Sophie Sumner has been named the winner of America's Next Top Model: British Invasion. The 21-year-old Brit beat American Laura Lafrate to take home the crown and prizes including a modeling contract with La/NY Models, a $$100,000 CoverGirl contract and a fashion spread in Vogue Italia. Sumner has also won a spread in Beauty In Vogue, the chance to be a correspondent on Extra and have a single to be released by CBS. She will also be the face of the America's Next Top Model forum Dream Come True. After hearing that she had won, Sumner said: "Yes I did it! I never thought a Brit could win America's Next Top Model. I kept fighting and fighting, and it just shows that you will get there. I've done it. "I'm a CoverGirl, I'm in Vogue, I am America's (more)...

"America's Next Top Model" will be crowned tonight, but will the winner be a non-American?This season's theme is "British Invasion," with seven girls from the U.S. competing against seven girls from the U.K. Unsurprisingly, only one American, Laura Lafrate, and one Brit, Sophie Sumner, remain.Laura (bottom left) has established herself as a versatile model with strong poses. However, her weakness is her runway walk, which got her cut from a fashion show in Toronto and cost her a couple of go-see clients in Hong Kong.Sophie's (bottom right) personality and enthusiasm have endeared her with designers; she booked all four of her designers during her go-sees. She's taken strong photos as well, and earned "best photo" during last week's "Dreams Come True" perfume shoot (the perfume campaign is one of the winner's prizes). The CW just released Laura and Sophie's final CoverGirl photos, and those might hint who the winner is.

Well, here we are. Twelve episodes, eleven eliminated models and countless utterances of the word "tooch" later, America's Next Top Model's Revolutionary War of the Pretty People is coming to a close tonight, and ever so predictably, there's only one Brit and one American left. And, predictably still (if you've watched the last couple Top Model finales along with me), this final showdown isn't much of a showdown at all, as Antm continues (and will continue still!) to undermine its own formula and zap its own suspense at Tyra's schizophrenic will. Two weeks ago, the "go-see" episode contained none of the hilarious cross-cultural miscommunications, screaming fits about confusing maps and time limit disqualifications that usually make such challenges the highlight of the season, and Anneleise's elimination couldn't have been more predictable, even as we all logically knew that she had outshined Laura in almost every respect, including being more likable and more commercial.

The "America's Next Top Model: British Invasion" cycle is coming to a close and it's Brit Sophie Sumner versus Yankee Laura Lafrate. Who do you think will win it all?
In these preview pics, we get to see both the girls model their black gowns, presumably from their runway showdown (pictured above), while below, you can get a sneak peek at each girl's Cover Girl print ad. We can't honestly decide which one we like better - they both turned out really well.
However, we fear that since a runway show is a big part of the finale that Laura is going to be hurting. Her walk is just not as polished as Sophie's. Who do you think will take the title? Vote below!
And get ready to say goodbye to Jay Manuel, Nigel Barker and Miss J - none of them are returning next year. So sad!

America's Next Top Model: Cycle 18 Finale Preview
It's all come down to this.
A cycle of low riders, high fashion, and Kardashian kameos is down to its final episode, pitting a spitfire American against a sophisticated Brit to see which country is the fiercest one of all. Really, it's the only true way that the British Invasion cycle of Top Model could end, the team concept having driven much of the earlier episodes of the cycle. But does the preview give any inclination of who will take home the title?
Not particularly. I mean, it has Laura all over the place, tough in the face of the competition but physically breaking down at some point in the finale. Could it be nerves? Exhaustion? A temporary bug with the worst possible timing? But really, what self-respecting Top Model cycle would be complete without some type of health scare? Exactly. By...

A lot of celebrities had words to say about the passing of Donna Summer, but leave it to Sir Elton John to squeeze in a dig at (presumably) Madonna in his. "I'm so sad. This woman was the queen of disco and so much more. Her records sound as good today as they ever did. That she has never been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a total disgrace, especially when I see the second-rate talent that has been inducted. She is a great friend to me and to the Elton John AIDS Foundation and I will miss her greatly."
It's common wisdom that Gene Roddenberry pushed to have actors of color like Nichelle Nichols on Star Trek to create his perfect future world, but was it actually NBC recruiting people of color like Nichols and George Takei to help launch their switch to color television?...

Annaliese Dayes is the most recent contestant eliminated from "America's Next Top Model," but she went out with a spring in her step. She tells Zap2it in her exit interview that she's just proud she made it as far as she did.
Are you happy with your "America's Next Top Model" experience?
"I am so glad I did 'America's Next Top Model.' I could never have imagined I'd have the opportunity to do it. It was an absolute pleasure."
It was really refreshing to see someone get eliminated and be so happy - you were practically dancing out of the studio.
"I'm really glad I got to leave on a high. It's really depressing when you see somebody leaving and it's like they're so unhappy about it. I understand that people want to get further than they did, whereas I was just satisfied with how far I made it.

America's Next Top Model 18.11 "Jez Smith" Review
You guys, this is basically my relationship with Tyra at this point:
I may not be a pretty blonde teenage girl and she may not be a ghost-faced killer hellbent on my demise (...that I know of), but I'm beginning to think that Bankable Productions has been keeping an eye on me since I began trashing covering Top Model in cycle 16. How else do you explain yet another facet of an article I wrote about the show ending up making it...onto the show? First, that horrible, horrible villain toyed with me, eliminating contestant after contestant that I either loved or thought had the competition on lock (right after I wrote about them!) to let me know that she was coming for me. Now that I've spent a good three cycles cowering in the corner, fearing for my life (and the possibility of...

"America's Next Top Model: British Invasion" is down to Annaliese, Laura and Sophie - who are you rooting for to make the finals?
Go-See Extravaganza
The girls are being sent on Go-Sees all around Hong Kong at four of the top designers in the city. For every Go-See they book, they bank $1000 (in Hong Kong dollars). So, if they book all four, they get $512. Heh.
Sophie does well at all her Go-Sees, which is no surprise, as she's been strong in that way all season - and also no surprise, she books all four. Annaliese does well too, she books three. Laura makes a good impression at the Go-Sees, but they don't love her walk - she books two of the four.

Eboni Davis made it all the way to the top five on America's Next Top Model: British Invasion, but no matter how long she stayed, she could never really escape the box that Tyra trapped her in with the nickname "30 Never," meant to praise Eboni's look of "eternal youth." When she tried to pose seductively, the judges came down on her for looking too old; when she acted young, her fellow models slung insults, calling her vain and immature.
The "30 Never" nickname seemed to become more of a psychological burden that, much like her tough childhood, ended up overshadowing, rather than enlightening, the model on screen. In the end, her modeling suffered, and after a disappointing shoot on top of one very tall tower, she was sent home.

America's Next Top Model 18.10 "Nicholas Tse" Review
Ooh, so that happened.
Top Model, dare I say it, surprised me once again in cycle 18 with how the elimination played out. After nearly a decade on the air (think about that for a second), you'd think that the show had pulled out every trick in the book - every outrageous photo shoot, every casting dynamic, every watercooler shocker designed to send the internet atwitter (on Twitter). But look at you, Tyra Banks, finding a way to freshen things up; following several well-reasoned, understandable boots in a row, Top Model managed to top itself by having a double elimination. They may have had weeks where they've eliminated two models, most notably last cycle and the first episode of cycle 10, but those were either known about in advance or seemed egregiously artificial to the point that it lacked any shock value. Here, though, Alisha quitting came from absolutely nowhere,...

"America's Next Top Model" channeled a little "Fear Factor" last night when the contestants had to pose with silkworms for a photoshoot! The remaining six hopefuls flew to their international destination: Macau. Macau is one of the largest exporters of silk, and to up the "fashion" (or freak) factor of the shoot, they were covered in the crawling larvae.British contest Alisha seemed to have the worst reaction, but all the girls pulled their nerves together for the shoot. Laura, who spent her childhood collecting centipedes, ended up with the best photo of the night. It's not the first time "Top Model" has used insects in photo shoots. America's Next Top Model 18.09 "Barney Cheng" Review
Can we talk about how Laura is just the worst?
All cycle long, I rode Kyle for how vacant her modeling was and the obnoxious praise she got for being a pretty typical Midwestern white girl, but Laura, that little devil, snuck past me. Of course, she had moments of being a bit of a spaz, seemed to be trying a bit too hard, and didn't appear to be emotionally ready for primetime, but she brought some energy to cycle 18 of Top Model and I liked that. Plus, she turned it out on more than one occasion, which is the ultimate cure-all for most reality show ails. If you do what you're supposed to do (and do it well), a little hiccup in likability can be written off, though not entirely excused. Ironically, though, it took Kyle's last episode for the veil to...
