Lucas Larriera was born in Buenos Aires, in 1988. In 2006, he started his career at the Universidad del Cine, graduating as a Scriptwriter in 2010.
Master in Archive and Audiovisual Preservation at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastián, Spain in 2020.
Since 2008 he works as a Freelance Sound Designer in numerous recognized full-length features and TV shows. In 2011 his documentary project "Alunizar" received a subsidy from the INCAA for the film to be made. In 2012, he was chosen in the 7º Talent Campus of Buenos Aires. In 2013, Alunizar was premiered at the 15th BAFICI. Additionally, he has continued his training in documentary filmmaking attending seminars with prestigious directors like Patricio Guzmán and José Luis Guerín. He is a teacher in Sound subject at the Universidad del Cine from Buenos Aires (FUC). In 2016 he enrolled in a postgraduate study at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella about Documentary Filmmaking.
in 2018 "Música para Casarse" a film where he was the sound designer received first price un Sound at the Bariloche Film Festival (Argentina). In 2019 he was granted for the sound of the documentary where he worked as a Sound Designer "The Excuse of the American Dream" at the BAFICI.
In 2021 he was selected for the Argentine Oficial Competition of BAFICI with his new documentary "Channel 54" and won a price for Best Sound by the ASA.
