Greg Faletto
- Composer
Greg Faletto is a Los Angeles-based producer, composer, and songwriter.
He enjoys working in pop, hip hop, and R&B, although he has also
studied and worked in jazz, classical, rock, blues, and a variety of
other genres. Greg has scored the soundtrack for an independent film,
composed the soundtrack for an independent iPhone video game, and done
production work for CMH Records and Skyline Entertainment (Chicago).
Greg also works as an engineer. He records, mixes, and masters for independent artists, and he has assistant engineering credits for three albums ("Foursome" by Pompeya, untitled to-be-released Jamie Frankel album, and untitled to-be-released Bravo Juliet album). Besides his soundtrack work, Greg's film work includes producing a three-minute promotional film for his tutoring company ("Integral Tutoring: Patient, Understanding Tutors" on YouTube). Greg's music has also appeared in a video for the web series "Girl Parts."
Greg has been studying and performing music in a variety of genres since 1998. He played the clarinet for nine years, including a year performing with the Duke University String School Youth Orchestra in high school. In college Greg minored in jazz studies and studied jazz saxophone and piano, gaining improvisational performance experience. Greg also played bass in indie rock and blues bands, participating in songwriting and improvising complicated bass lines.
Greg learned recording and mixing from one-on-one lessons from Grammy winners and Berklee graduates, as well as voracious independent reading and practice. He prefers to produce in Logic, and he also records and mixes in Pro Tools.
Greg has experience recording and producing many independent artists. His musical instincts are matched by his ability to make artists feel comfortable and confident and bring out their best performances.
