- Cairo Amen II transitioned into entrepreneurship at a very young age. Popular throughout grade school due to his ability to accurately sketch comic book and cartoon characters within a matter of minutes, he eventually began selling his artwork to peers, teachers and neighbors alike.
Nearly a decade after dropping out of college (Southern University), he would eventually earn a degree in graphic design which led to stints as a high-end shoe designer and technical writer.

- From 2003-2005, wrote a Miles Davis biopic titled "Miles Ahead" on spec under the direction of Cheryl Davis and Vincent Wilburn, Jr. of the Miles Davis estate.
