CNN has suspended pro-Trump contributor Paris Dennard after the Washington Post published a sexual misconduct accusation stemming from his time working at Arizona State University in 2014.
“We are aware of reports of accusations against Paris Dennard. We are suspending Paris, effective immediately, while we look into the allegations,” a CNN spokesperson told TheWrap late Wednesday evening.
According to the Post, Dennard was ousted from the school’s McCain Institute for International Leadership after an internal investigation after a former student accused Dennard of pressing her for sex.

It’s hard to tell when an action taken by President Trump or the White House is intended to distract from unfavorable news coverage. But it was pretty clear when Trump revoked the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan last week. The announcement, coming at the height of former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman’s decidedly anti-Trump press tour, was dated July 26th, a sign the White House had been waiting for an opportune time to assume control of the news cycle. A senior White House official...

There's something in common between former CIA director John O. Brennan, who had his security clearance revoked by President Trump on Aug. 15, and Philip Mudd, a former CIA and FBI official who is at risk of having the same thing done to him. Both work for television organizations that have been smeared by the president as "fake news" and "enemies of the people."

A former FBI counterterrorism analyst broke down in tears on CNN Wednesday while talking about the school shooting in Florida that left 17 people dead.
Philip Mudd became overcome with emotional while talking to Wolf Blitzer after CNN anchor asked him how he felt about the incident.
“I have 10 nieces and nephews,” Mudd said of the shooting. “We’re talking about bump stocks, we’re talking about legislation,” he added, before he broke down.
“A child of God is dead. Can not we acknowledge in this country that we cannot accept this?

During its coverage of Wednesday’s latest school shooting in America, Wolf Blitzer asked CNN’s counter-terrorism analyst Philip Mudd for his thoughts after a couple hours hearing accounts of today’s shooting in Parkland, Fl, Mudd being someone who used to work for the FBI. Mudd is a veteran of this kind of talking-head-ery; he and also formerly worked for the CIA. “You think it’s antiseptic. It’s not,” Mudd began of the Valentine’s Day slaughter in which yet another…...

Philip Mudd, former deputy director of the CIA Counterterrorist Center, dropped a slew of slurs in an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon Friday to make a point about racism. In a lengthy statement criticizing President Trump’s reported reference to “shithole countries,” Mudd stated: “I’ve seen these conversations that this is economic, so let’s be clear, a white honky from Norway can come here but a black dude from Haiti can’t. What does that tell you in an America that in one generation called you a ‘n—er,'” he asked Lemon. “What does that tell you Don. I can tell you what it tells a...
