Rebecca Thibault
- Actress
Rebecca Thibault was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. to young
parents who, after only 6 months, migrated to Winnipeg,Manitoba, Canada
where her sister was born just over a year later. Starting at a very
young age Rebecca caught the entertainment bug, she was in all the
elementary school productions, choir productions and talent shows. In
junior high she was in all the talent shows dancing her Irish River
Dance which she had come to learn over 7 years of lessons. She loves
music as she was in band and jazz band in junior high as well as being
in the air force cadets. In between all her exciting and entertaining
talents Rebecca still found time to volunteer with the Special Olympics
of Manitoba as her younger sister is special needs. After high school
graduation Rebecca wanted to travel and find herself and what she
wanted in life, so she went to Australia for 2months and when she
returned she realized she needed NOT wanted, NEEDED to be in the
industry again as it is a part of her and makes up who she is. Couple
months later Rebecca did some background work in the movie "Goon" with
Sean William Scott and Jay Barachel, it was then after watching such
talent and speaking to Sean, Rebecca caught the acting bug. It was an
intense feeling that surfaced within her and she took serious note of
it. Rebecca then went on to mention her revelation to her family one
night and that she was looking to get her foot in the acting door;
coincidentally cousin mentioned she was enrolled at Academy of Acting,
where they have professionals already working i the industry come in
and teach you along with motivating you there after. Rebecca
immediately jumped at the opportunity and signed up the following
semester.
After spending 9 months at the acclaimed full-time Intensive program at Academy of Acting, she created the foundations of her technique and familiarized herself with the business aspects of this incredibly exhilarating but subjective industry. The program is diploma-credited and focuses on acting for film, television, and voice over for animation, commercials and narration. After performing the well known theater productions 'Dracula' and 'Spring Awakening', Rebecca made the transition into film and television acting - first studying with the widely well-received Rebecca Gibson as well as Tamara Gorski and numerous other accredited professionals in Winnipeg. She is continuing to take part-time classes at various schools and training facilities around Toronto, trying to study with as many working acting instructors as she can. She would soak up as much information as possible like a sponge and filter what worked for her and what didn't as an actor.
Rebecca is based out of Toronto and is continuing part-time training at various studios in the beautiful city. New York and Los Angeles are on the horizon for future studies. Believe.
