There is a lot to like in Netflix’s Chinese film, Delicious Romance. It thrives on a good blend of emotions, using filmmaking techniques innovatively to bring out the complexities of the characters. It looks at modern relationships from the perspective of three childhood friends who are now working and struggling in their professional lives while trying to make sense of their relationships with each other and with the world. The film comes alive right from the first scene, setting the stage for a promising ride with the three women. It is remarkable to tell a story of multiple characters while managing to go into the depths of their hearts and minds to bring out the nuances and, on top of that, keep it all together with a tightly-knit screenplay. It is filled with frames that are revealing in their representation and actions that widely reflect characters’ emotional states. We...

In 1991, “Street Fighter” made history by introducing the world’s first playable female character in a fighting game, Chun Li. An expert martial artist and Interpol officer, Chun Li has a notorious sense of justice, with much of her arc dedicated to a tireless search for revenge for the wrongful killing of her father. It is unsurprising, then, that Chun Li is Jules’ (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett) avatar of choice, the two united by an insatiable thirst for payback.

As the race for limited series has become more competitive over the last decade, the art of the TV movie has seen an inversely proportional decline in popularity and visibility. The two formats have competed in separate categories at the Emmys since 2014 (the most recent separation), but Best TV Movie has been relegated to the Creative Arts ceremony the past two years, and it’s likely been even longer since it has been truly relevant. But the Disney+ film “Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers” has the power to change that.
A hybrid live-action/CG animated film based on the late 1980s cartoon about the adorable anthropomorphic chipmunks first created by The Walt Disney Company in the early 1940s, the movie features comedians John Mulaney and Andy Samberg as the voices of Chip and Dale, respectively. Best friends since childhood, the two go on to become co-stars on the late ‘80s...

Nicki Minaj takes the throne in her new video for “Hard White.” The song appears on 2018’s Queen and it’s the first visual from the LP that she’s released since she dropped “Barbie Dreams” in September.
In the new clip, Minaj affirms her reign, taking a seat at the throne and donning an array of bejeweled crowns, while ruling a world where ghoulish figures creep around and imagery of dark rituals, trippy desert jaunts and ravens signal foreboding times. Despite the desolate surroundings, Minaj is resolute in her...

Nicki Minaj hangs with puppets and teases her fellow rappers in her new video for “Barbie Dreams,” the Notorious B.I.G.-sampling highlight off the rapper’s latest album Queen.
The colorful, Hype Williams-directed video opens with a puppet nonchalantly introducing the proceedings before Minaj takes over, delivering a barrage of taunts and wardrobe changes while joined onscreen by puppet versions of Lil Wayne, DJ Khalid and 6ix9ine.
“Barbie Dreams” follows the videos for Queen‘s “Ganja Burns” and “Bed” and the pre-Queen singles “Chun Li” and “Barbie Tingz.

Timing is not Nicki Minaj's strong suit. First, the "Chun Li" rapper delayed the release of her fourth studio album Queen, moving it from June 15 to Aug. 10; it debuted at No. 2 behind Travis Scott's Astroworld, much to her dismay. Then, Live Nation announced Monday night that her North American tour with Future has been canceled. "Following her unforgettable Vma performance, Nicki Minaj has decided to reevaluate elements of production on the NickiHndrxx Tour," a spokesperson told E! News in a statement. "The outing will now kick off in Europe this coming February as planned. Nicki has decided to contribute more time to rehearsal ahead of the tour's launch to make certain her fans get the...

Bobby Lytes of “Love & Hip Hop” Miami made waves on the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet on Monday night, as he donned a “Make America Gay Again” jacket.
Lytes is the first openly gay cast member of the VH1 franchise. Raised in Florida to Dominican parents, he’s a relation to the artist Trina.
The rapper turned the Trump slogan on its head in what was one of the boldest red carpet statements.
The Miami version of the popular reality show premiered in January and featured Trina and Lytes in addition to Prince, Amara La Negra, Gunplay, Veronica Vega, Shay Johnson and Trick Daddy.
He wasn’t the only VMAs attendee to get political during the show. Later in the night, Logic delivered a powerful performance of “One Day” using a backdrop of immigration illustrated by a U.S. Border Patrol graphic and a T-shirt that read “F— the Wall,...

It was a strong night for Camila Cabello at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, who took home “moon persons” for both Video of the Year and Artist of the Year.
The awards were spread out fairly evenly among the artists, with Childish Gambino taking home three, while Cabello, The Carters and Cardi B all won a pair of awards each.
Nicki Minaj won Best Rap video for her single, “Chun Li,” while Ariana Grande took home the award for Best Pop video for “No Tears Left to Cry.” Post Malone won Song of the Year for “rockstar” with 21 Savage. A pair of awards were also handed out during the pre-show, one to Cardi B for Song of Summer for her single, “I Like It” with Bad Bunny & J Balvin, and one to Hayley Kiyoko for Push Artist of the Year. As previously announced, Jennifer Lopez received the Michael Jackson...

She's over it! Nicki Minaj was asked about her rumored feud with Cardi B while chatting with Beats 1 Radio’s Ebro Darden on Aug. 16. The "Chun Li" rapper revealed she didn't know there was tension brewing between them, and if there is, Nicki is unaware. “Now, I didn’t know Cardi and I had an issue, but I guess we do since you’re saying it and other people are saying it," Nicki explained during her press run interview for her fourth studio album Queen. "To me, she may have taken an issue with things that I’ve said. But, I’m not going to bite my tongue. You gotta have thick skin, people talk s--t about me all the time. You can’t be expect to be liked and loved and praised all the f-----g time. Give me a break.” #Queen 9Ampst/12Est A post shared by Barbie® (@nickiminaj...

Today we learned that one my favorite television actors, Dominic West, is joining the cast of the rebooted Tomb Raider franchise. You probably remember him best from The Wire, where he played Jimmy McNulty, the protagonist of the show and a character with many personal and intriguing demons. He stamped his mark on society with this character because The Wire is considered one of the best written shows of all time, and the last time I remember West was in the only decent Punisher movie ever made where he played the iconic Jigsaw.
According to THR, West will be playing Lord Richard Croft, the father of Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot. This role was originally played by Jon Voight in the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider movies a decade ago. We know Voight is Jolie's father in "real life," and while West can't claim that over the current...
