Henry Silva, a character actor known for playing bad guys and gangsters in movies like “The Manchurian Candidate” and “Ocean’s 11,” has died.
Silva died Wednesday of natural causes at the Motion Picture Picture and Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills, California, his son Scott Silva confirmed to Variety. He was 95.
The stage and screen actor, whose career spanned 50 years and 140 TV and film credits, was also an honorary member of The Rat Pack. He starred alongside Frank Sinatra in both “Ocean’s 11” (1960) and “The Manchurian Candidate,” (1962) in which he played one of the 11 casino robbers in the classic caper film. Also in 1962, they both appeared in “Sergeants 3” and would go on to collaborate on the TV movie “Contract on Cherry Street” (1977) and “Cannonball Run II” (1984) with Dean Martin.

Grammy-nominated R&b singer, Jesse Powell, has died at the age of 51.
The musician, best known for his hit 1996 song, “You”, died “peacefully” at his Los Angeles home on Tuesday (13 September), his sisters, recording artists Trina and Tamara Powell, announced on Instagram.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and uncle Jesse Powell,” Tamara wrote.
“The family asks for privacy at this time as we mourn this tremendous loss and celebrate his everlasting legacy. Jesse loved music and he especially loved his fans who supported him throughout his career.
“We want you all to know that you meant the world to him,” she added, signing off, “The Powell Family”.

Chisholm, also known by the monikers Mel C and Melanie C, will soon release a memoir, titled Who I Am.
In it, she shares personal stories about her life and career.
One of the most vulnerable moments in the autobiography comes when she discusses being assaulted in 1997 on the eve of her very first performance with the pop group.
In a passage in the book, she states that the group were in a hotel in Istanbul, Turkey when the attack took place.
“So I treat myself to a massage in the hotel and what happened to me, I kind of buried immediately because there were other things to focus on,” the passage reads.
“I didn't want to make a fuss but also I didn't have time to deal with it.
