Yuri Shukost(II)
Yuri Shukost was the Entertainment Media Liaison Officer for Australia's Department of Defence from September 2003 to May 2017. He is now retired and his role has been devolved to public affairs officers embedded within the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and civilian Groups.
He created and developed the framework to analyze requests from domestic and international movie, television, music video and radio productions seeking Defence support. Based on this information, he recommended to the ADF and the civilian Groups that make up Defence whether they should provide support. Following their own internal processes, if they agreed to do so, he would then coordinate Defence's support to those productions.
He also developed the terms and conditions upon which support was provided along with the supplementary contractual pro forma specifically related to entertainment media productions.
This managed support involves access to human and other resources, equipment and facilities. It excludes financial support to avoid the inference of editorial influence on the production.
