Sean Gowdy was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, USA to
parents Rev. John & Leigh Gowdy. He graduated from Portsmouth High
School and was named 'Outstanding Media Student' in 2008. He was the
winner of the 2008 "Best of Show" Emmie Award at Ohio University with
his short film The Substitute, plus other awards in categories such as
Sports, Entertainment/Music Video, and Graphic Design. He also created
a music video to promote school spirit entitled "Portsmouth Back" that
was featured on VH1. He is a graduate of Cedarville University with a
B.A. in Electronic Media. For his final semester he attended the Los
Angeles Film Studies Center in West Hollywood and had an editing
internship at KO Creative in Beverly Hills. His first job on a feature
film was as a Production Assistant on the film Scorned (2013). He was also an extra in The Dark Knight Rises (2012). He resides in Sherman
Oaks, California, pursing a career as an Editor/Producer/Director.
