Array Releasing has acquired “For Our Children” and has set a release date for May 10 on Netflix.
Written, directed and produced by Débora Souza Silva, the documentary chronicles the powerful convergence of two mothers, Reverend Wanda Johnson and Angela Williams, whose lives were forever altered by police brutality against young Black men.
“Array is proud to work with filmmaker Débora Souza Silva to tell the important stories of Reverend Johnson and Angela Williams and their ability to find hope and light in a world too often defined by division and despair,” said Array’s President Tilane Jones in a statement. “Through intimate storytelling and raw authenticity, ‘For Our Children’ illuminates the unbreakable bonds of love and resilience that bind us all.”

The glorious former Miss Universe 2000, Lara Dutta is back on the screens with another significant project, Ranneeti, but being a star also has its cons. Dutta has dealt with a lot of trolling, which unfortunately happens more often with actresses than it happens with male stars. Lara Dutta recently opened up about people age-shaming her, using words like ‘buddhi’ or body-shaming her and calling her fat.
It is true that being in the public eye is a bittersweet thing. While the recognition can make you ecstatic, the trolls can quickly bog you down. The Partner actor claimed that despite having “a small following” on social media, she still encounters trolls.

Array has revealed an official US trailer for an indie film titled Bantú Mama, which is Dominican Republic's official submission to the upcoming 95th Academy Awards (in 2023). After being arrested in the Dominican Republic, an Afropean woman escapes and is sheltered by 3 minors, in a dangerous district of Santo Domingo. By becoming their protégée and maternal figure, she will see her destiny change forever. Array: "We are honored to distribute the Dominican Republic's official Oscar submission." They are Ava DuVernary's distributor releasing important under-the-radar films from around the world. Bantú Mama premiered at the 2021 SXSW Film Festival, and screened at the London Film Festival and Urbanworld.
