An architect by profession, from an early age Philippe Boisier (Paris, 1974) has channeled his interests into creative fields such as music and audiovisual production. His childhood in Chile was strongly influenced by his environment, where architects, musicians, painters, filmmakers and photographers shared a sensitivity for nature. His grandfather, Juan Echenique, was a prominent Chilean architect, water-colorist and mountaineer.
All this led Philippe, from a very young age, to experiment with the arts, and also to take an interest in remote places.
As a musician, he has made soundtracks for film, television and visual arts, in addition to his participation in various musical bands both in Chile and in France.
His love for mountaineering and history has motivated him to research the Andes Mountains and their influence on Latin American culture.
He has published several essays, directed 6 documentaries and short audiovisual pieces, results of his many trips through the mountain range, meeting its landscapes and inhabitants.
His trilogy, "The Imaginary Mountain" (2024), explores the improbable encounters between scientists, artists and climbers in Chile, rescuing the stories of survivors of the epics from the 1950s.
