Peter Charles Melman

In 2007, Melman's debut novel, Landsman, garnered a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writer, BookSense 76 Book of the Year, and an American Library Association Notable Book of the Year selection. He is represented by The Aaron M. Priest agency for fiction. He earned a PhD in English-Creative Writing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and he has instructed at Columbia University's MFA Writing Program. Presently, Melman teaches literature and Creative Writing at the Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn, NY, where he lives with his family.
