The House Jan. 6 committee is slated to release its final report this week, bringing an end to its 18-month investigation into the effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election, and the violent siege of the Capitol as lawmakers were certifying President Biden’s victory.
The committee has obtained troves of documents, texts, and phone records; interviewed over 1,000 witnesses; and held a series of high-profile public hearings featuring live testimony from people close to the effort to subvert democracy. The primary takeaway from all of this, the panel has made clear,...

Exclusive: At today’s year-end virtual meeting, WME minted its largest partner class ever.
The agency named 25 new partners, spanning a variety of WME departments and offices. WME also announced internally that compensation is being fully restored, across the entirety of Endeavor, starting January 1. Pay reductions came into play in April, after the Covid pandemic shut down theaters, film and TV production and live events, placing financial strain on every agency’s cash flow.
The agency confirmed the news to Deadline.
“We are proud to recognize our new partners who come from many different groups throughout WME but each share the same common threads: They are passionate advocates for artists, take an entrepreneurial approach to their business and have distinguished themselves as leaders both within and outside the agency,” said Lloyd Braun, Endeavor Client Group President and Chairman of WME. “As our industry undergoes unprecedented changes, the different perspectives of...

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Thursday that for the first time ever, the 2020 Golden Globes ceremony will serve only vegan food to guests at the Beverly Hilton’s International Ballroom, where the event is held every year.
“New this year! We’re working toward a more sustainable #GoldenGlobes by serving an all-vegan menu on January 5th,” the HFPA said in a tweet.
Matthew Morgan, executive chef at the Beverly Hilton, told The Hollywood Reporter that the menu will include chilled golden beet soup with locally-grown chervil and amaranth as an appetizer, and for the main dish, king oyster mushrooms presented like scallops and paired with a cheese-less wild-mushroom risotto, roasted baby brussels sprouts, globe carrots and pea tendrils. For dessert, there will be a vegan opera cake.

Wme has hired Andrew Colvin and Adam Voith from music-rep outfit Billions. The pair are already based in Nashville and will join the agency’s office there, bringing with them a roster of clients including Mumford & Sons, Bon Iver, Jason Isbell and Vampire Weekend.
The latest moves come after former CAA Nashville co-head Scott Clayton joined Wme in November as a partner and co-head of the Nashville outpost. His co-heads are Rob Beckham, Joey Lee, Greg Oswald and Jay Williams. Ex-CAA festival department co-head Matthew Morgan and Buster Phillips also came aboard.
“Andrew and Adam have distinguished themselves with their impeccable taste, stellar reputations, and a unique understanding of artists’ needs,” Clayton said today in announcing the hires. “Since arriving in Nashville less than a decade ago, they have already had a significant impact on the music community here.”
