- ReShaun Groomes was born August 28, 1981 on an Air force base in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Being born into a military family, Groomes migrated throughout the U.S and overseas, even spending his first birthday in Korea. After the separation of his parents in Tampa, Fla his mother Roslyn remarried Alfred L. Wilkes Sr a civil engineer of Tallahassee, Fla. Wilkes' profession led to the relocation in the west Texas city of Odessa. It was in Odessa Groomes' dynamic-fun personality was put on display in his junior high school theatre production of "The Mouse". The success of this show and others led ReShaun discovering his true passion for performing.
After his family relocated again and settled in the northern Dallas suburb Plano, Texas. ReShaun graduated Plano Senior High school in 1999 along with other famous alums including actors "Ugly Betty's" Michael Urie, "Eurotrip" Scott Mechlowicz, USA Networks' Kristin Holt, and Yahoo Trending Now anchor Melissa Knowles.
Reshaun attended Florida State University where he was heavily involved in theatre, film, and the school's speech -forensics team. A national champion in public speaking and winning the lead role in the school's production of "Amadeus" led Groomes to subsequently take his talents to Los Angeles, CA.
