Rabbi Frydman-Kohl was awarded the C.M. (Member of the Order of Canada) on September 24, 2021 and invested on Deceomber 1, 2022 by the Canadian Governor General . He lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is a devoted advocate for justice and peace. Rabbi emeritus of the Beth Tzedec Synagogue, he is a leader in interfaith dialogue throughout Canada. Known for his accepting and inclusive teachings, he uses thoughtful and skilled mediation techniques to bring Canadians together, transcending differences and focusing on shared values. A revered mentor to the next generation of rabbis, he has also authored numerous scholarly publications in the areas of Jewish philosophy and mysticism.
