Sebastian Klinger is a Swiss-based cinematographer and producer. Having graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Chur under the guidance of acclaimed Swiss cinematographer Peter Indergand, SCS ("War Photographer") and Emmy-winning producer Heiner Gatzemeier ("The Wolves Of Berlin"), he lensed numerous projects for Student Academy Award winner Freddy Macdonald, among which "Sew Torn", a short film executive produced by Peter Spears ("Nomadland") and acquired by Searchlight Pictures that qualified for the 2020 Academy Awards. Together with Macdonald, he also shot the short films "The Father Of Art" and "Gifted" as well as music videos "The Suit That Won't Come Off" and "The Duffler" for three time Grammy winner Fantastic Negrito.
After his first feature film "Zoe", he produced and lensed Freddy Macdonald's feature-length adaptation of "Sew Torn" starring Eve Connolly ("Vikings"). Klinger's other credits also include short films "The Station In-Between" starring Carlos Leal ("Casino Royale") and "Alpine Getaway" starring Werner Biermeier ("The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo") as well as numerous commercials and web series. As lead visual effects unit Switzerland he contributed to Peruvian Netflix show "Contigo Capitan" and German feature "Paradies" and, in the camera department, acclaimed Spanish feature "Color Of Heaven" which premiered at San Sebastián International Film Festival. Klinger is part of the ASC Vision Mentorship program under guidance of American cinematographer David Darby, ASC.
