CBS News has promoted Dell Alann to Los Angeles Deputy Bureau Chief. The news network announced the move Tuesday.
“He has great knowledge and contacts around the region and the network,” said CBS News West Coast bureau chief Mark Lima, who was named to that post in August. “He runs an efficient and responsible desk, and he is a tireless worker.”
Alann has years’ worth of experience producing morning and evening broadcasts at a number of stations including in Washington, D.C., before arriving in Los Angeles. The CBS exec has also taken on various roles as Wusa, Wncn and FiOS1 in New York.
Before joining CBS News, Alann worked at NBC, where he was a field producer. Throughout his career he has covered a number of national stories including the Parkland High School shooting and Hurricane Harvey among others.

Fusion, ABC and Univision’s new network aimed at young English-speaking Hispanics in the U.S., is continuing to bolster its staff with the appointment of Mark Lima as its Vice President of News. Fusion’s interim President Beau Ferrari made the announcement today. “Mark has a keen eye for stories that matter, knows how to create compelling television, and is a tested expert in breaking news situations. He is an experienced network producer who has led large teams to award-winning success, and we’re very fortunate he’s joining Fusion”, said Ferrari. Lima, an Emmy and Peabody-winning ABC News veteran, was most recently part of the team at Nightline responsible for developing stories and leading digital and social media integration.
