Justin Mueller(I)
- Additional Crew
Born in DeRidder, Louisiana, Justin lived in various areas of the
American south prior to settling down in Lafayette, LA when he was a
Freshman in high school. There, he had the distinction of being
expelled from the same grade twice (10th) due to excessive absenteeism
and misconduct. His often humorous and far-fetched explanations for his
behavior earned him a friend, however, in Lafayette High School's
Principal and chief disciplinarian, Kurt "Doc" Schmersahl. In one of
his many conversations with Justin's father, Frank Mueller, Doc
promised that if Justin ever got into law school, he would pay the
tuition. Flattered by the offer of scholarship, Justin nonetheless
dropped out of high school and went to work as a laborer for a
construction company at the age of 16. He quickly left the occupation,
however, because although he loved the physical demands of the field he
found the conversation lacking. So, at 18 he joined the Army National
Guard in hopes of better banter and also hoping for the opportunity to
club a looter during a hurricane. After six years of the Army (one in
Iraq) and more than his share of Judicial and Non-Judicial punishment
(to include being investigated by CID for operating a winery with Sgt.
Tony Billiot in a war zone) he was honorably discharged and proceeded
to college, and then law school, where he served as Assistant Editor of
his law review, and eventually graduated Cum Laude. After graduating
and then learning the basics of law practice working in-house for a
Fortune 250 company, Justin elected to start his own law firm. He now
jointly operates the partnership J. R. Mueller, PLLC, in Houston Texas,
where he specializes in labor/employment law, but also represents
artists and professionals in all aspects of the entertainment
industry. He is still waiting on Doc to pay some of his student loans,
has never clubbed a looter during a hurricane, and thinks Sgt. Tony
Billiot owes him reparations for having lost the winery.
