Agile, dynamic, and innovative, Timothy Buckman is a skilled composer, songwriter and guitarist working in beautiful Denver, Colorado. His compositions can be heard in concert halls around the world as well as on TV shows, notably: Lopez on TV Land, Kourtney and Kim Take New York on E!, and The Bad Girls Club on Oxygen among others on the following networks: E!, Bravo, the Oxygen Network, TV Land, and Netflix. Timothy's recent film composition includes: No Sin Unpunished, Jurassic Thunder, Slaw, and Tiger Lily.
His score for Courageous Warriors; Beauty From the Ashes, a feature length breast cancer documentary narrated by Dee Wallace was awarded: Best Original Song and Best Motivational/Inspirational Score from the Impact Docs Awards, Best Original Score from Docs Without Borders Film Festival.
Timothy has also served Musical Director for Hipster Mama Productions, a Denver based entertainment company. He is the creator, guitarist, and leader of their flagship product, The Radio Band, which has performed for clients such as Google, AOL, MapQuest, AT&T, and Uber. Timothy and The Radio Band were invited to perform at both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions in 2016.
He holds undergraduate degrees in guitar from Musicians Institute and Western Kentucky University along with an M.M. and D.M.A. in composition and technology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His music has received awards from the Music Teacher's National Association, BMI, the New Music Miami Festival, and earned him the Cecil Effinger Composition Award in 2004.
