Agnieszka Lal was born on September 23, 1987 in Warsaw, Poland. She is
a documentary film director and producer as well as a world traveler.
She began her career as a child radio speaker at the age of seven for
Radio BIS. When she was 14, Agnieszka won a nationwide audition for the
popular youth TV show Rower Blazeja. The show was aired live 5 times a
week on Polish National Broadcaster Chanel 1. Agnieszka co-hosted and
worked as an associate producer on the show between 2002 and 2004,
making her the youngest host in its history. Soon after, she hosted the
public television show Raj as well as acted in various television
commercials. In 2008 she started working for Viacom MTV Networks as an
associate producer until moving to Sydney, Australia a year later. In
2012, she graduated with distinction as a Master of Management from the
University of Sydney. She refused a lucrative management consulting job
offer to bring together her two passions of travel and film and went on
to produce her own documentary. In 2012, Agnieszka
began filming a documentary about an attempt to sail across the
Pacific without any prior sailing experience and only basic navigation
equipment. The voyage ended after 9 months in May 2013. Agnieszka is
a member of the international honor society Beta, Gamma, Sigma which is
'the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can
receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International'
(Wikipedia). She is also a member of the Australian Parachute
Federation and a Bachelor of English Literature.
