Sebastien Skubala is an award-winning actor and singer/songwriter from Australia known for his dramatic and comedic roles in numerous short films on the international festival circuit.
In 2024 Sebastien played the lead role of Kevin in the pilot Keep Running Back (2024). He also has the lead role in the upcoming short film The Last Warriors. Sebastien is making his feature film debut in How Quickly Clouds Move, written and directed by Armin Dzafic, and produced by Valencia Pictures and Radioactive Pictures.
In 2023 Sebastien appeared in In the Company of Friends (2022) which won Best Director at the Sci-fi & Fantasy Film Festival. He also had a support role in the comedy short Mating Call (2023) which made its world premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival, and won Best Comedy at the 2024 South Australian Screen Awards.
Sebastien played lead in Down to Earth (2020) which screened around the world at the Boston Sci-fi Film Festival, Harrogate, and Show Me Shorts New Zealand. Down to Earth was nominated for 7 South Australian Screen Awards, winning Best Cinematography and Best Hair & Make Up. It can be seen on Dust and Omeleto. Sebastien also won Best Actor for his role in the film.
On the stage Sebastien made his professional debut as Willie Thornhill in the Helpmann Award winning play The Secret River, directed by Neil Armfield as part of the 2017 Adelaide Festival.
