Weian Chen
Taiwanese film director, action design and martial arts instructor, Chen WeiAn, has founded a stunt team at Taipei, and has been working in film and performing arts. He graduated from the Taipei Physical Education College with a double bachelor's degree in martial arts and dance department.
Started the collaboration with Huang Yi for "SPIN 2010" in 2010. Invited from Asian Cultural Council 20th anniversary celebration to choreograph "Fuel" with Huang Yi in 2013.
Began his martial arts career in 1997, and in 2008, he became a theater performer and worked as a stunt choreographer in 2009 until now. He acts as a martial arts choreographer and stuntman for several films and TV shows. In 2014, he founded ACT, an action company, to foster film and theater stunt performers. Now, he is independent director in film field.
Joined New Circus Asia in 2006 as an action choreographer and performance, touring in Taipei and Canada. Began to major in dance and joined the modern dance troupe, LAFA, in 2008. Has performed in choreographer Bulareyaung Pagarlava's "37Arts", "Summer", "Ode To Joy", "Warriors" and "La Song".
Joined Huang Yi Studio + as the guest performer in 2014. Co-wrote "Special Order", participated in the first stage of "Objects" and the second stage of "Under the Horizon" with Huang Yi Studio+ in NTCH. Collaborated the residency in Théâtre national de Chaillot with Huang Yi Studio+ in 2018.
