Shel Seigel (Sheldon / Shelley) has a law degree from the University of Ottawa and studied post-graduate law at Harvard University (Harvard Negotiating Project) and a B.F.A. in fine arts (Writing) from the University of Victoria.
He was asked by Director Maureen Bradley to participate in the production of 'Till Death in 2012 and Two 4 One in 2013. Shel also led the creative writing team as lead writer for the web series Fear or Favour.
Shel Seigel is an emerging novelist and award winning playwright. He has written two novels: SuperNova and Lenny's Garage, and two novellas: And The Wheels Fell Off! (shortlisted by Geist Foundation and Anvil Press in the International 3-Day Novel Competition), and A Decent Calling.
He has also written two one act plays: LAST FALL (Gwen Pharis Ringwood Award / Best one act play 2013- permanent collection Theatre B.C. Reading Library), and Boys Cruise, and a full-length play: The Houseguest (Theatre B.C. playwriting competition).
Shel also co-authored a feature-length screenplay: Prime Ordeal, and has published a short graphic novel: Man in a Pinstripe Suit (Damn Dog Productions), and a theatre review of Wolf for The Marble Review.
He regularly writes and posts short stories and micro-stories to his website at shelseigel.com.
Shel's award winning play: LAST FALL was produced by SATCO and performed at the Phoenix Theatre in Victoria, British Columbia in October 2014.
