Artistically Michael Pepp studied extensively under Jon Jory, a theatrical director instrumental in the development of Actors Theatre of Louisville, Robert Benedetti, a distinguished teacher and three-time Emmy and Peabody Award-winning film producer. While studying at LSU Pepp gained an internship with Solange Knowles's production company, Saint Heron.
His teaching and research skills has led him to produce a graduate thesis called Main Line. Main Line was developed as a 20-minute solo performance piece and a audio visual film by the influence of Michael's graduate training. The development and performance of Main Line served as a graduation requirement as well as a professional exploration of my personal aesthetics of storytelling, actors craft, production design, performance art, and independent theatre & film making.
