In August of 2020 he was indicted in St. Louis, MO, on one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and mail fraud and conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire and murder-for-hire in the death of his nephew, Andre Montgomery. Norman had allegedly discovered that Montgomery stole $200,000 from him. Norman and an accomplice had also taken out a $450,000 life insurance policy on Montgomery, and are charged with hiring a third party to kill Montgomery in order to collect on that policy.
