The X Factor 2013 voting statistics have been made available in full by ITV, as is tradition at the end of a series.
The figures show that Sam Bailey and Nicholas McDonald were the only two contestants to ever lead the public vote, with Bailey maintaining her status at the top of the pile from Week 7 until her victory earlier on Sunday evening (December 15).
The X Factor: Judges' winner predictions revealed
McDonald led voting on the first Sunday of the Live Shows, both nights of week two and week six, with Bailey leading all other weeks.
The statistics also show that there was just 0.4% separating Rough Copy and Luke Friend during the week of the quarter finals, when Friend ended up in the sing-off and Tamera Foster was eliminated.
On four occasions, the contestant who was eliminated did not finish bottom of the public vote - Lorna Simpson in week one,...

Michael Bolton has revealed he is a fan of X Factor contestant Sam Bailey.
The singer extended his trip to the UK recently so that he could meet the prison officer, after the pair exchanged messages on Twitter.
He said: "I was in a publishing meeting in London and one of the publishers said to me, 'I just want you to hear something' and she played us Sam. And I just stood there and I was completely blown away.
"I said to this woman, 'I would work with this woman [Bailey] in a heartbeat'."
The 60-year-old said he was "excited" to meet Bailey - who has topped the Digital Spy readers' poll three times - describing her as an "amazing woman".
Bolton - who also met previously eliminated contestant Lorna Simpson at G-a-y recently - added that 35-year-old Bailey should not be concerned with her age, despite being the only contestant...

Shelley Smith was voted off 'The X Factor' tonight (20.10.13). The 34-year-old van driver, who survived a sing-off against Lorna Simpson last week, became the second act to leave this year's series after landing in the bottom two against Kingsland Road. Shelley performed 'Stop' by Sam Brown, while the boyband performed 'Try' by Pink in a bid to stay in the competition. Shelley's mentor, Sharon Osbourne, begged Louis Walsh to save her act after Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger opted to save Kingsland Road, who were placed in the bottom two after a 'Flash Vote' on Saturday night (19.10.13), but the Irish judge...

The X Factor fans are reportedly betting on Olly Murs to replace Gary Barlow as a judge on the singing competition.
The popstar finished second on the sixth series of the ITV singing competition back in 2009 and presented spinoff The Xtra Factor for two years until 2012, before quitting to focus on his music.
> Gary Barlow quits The X Factor: Who should replace the Take That star?
He returned as a guest judge during Judges' Houses this year to help out Barlow, who recently confirmed that he is leaving the panel once the current series finishes.
Murs, whose music career is overseen by Simon Cowell at Syco, is already popular with many X Factor viewers, who have been betting with Ladbrokes on him winning the role.
His odds have consequently dropped from 20/1 to 10/1.

The X Factor's Lorna Simpson has revealed that she feels "played" following her exit from the show.
The Overs singer became the first act to leave this year's competition after losing out in the sing-off to Shelley Smith last night (October 13).
Simpson questioned the decision to give her less airtime than her fellow contestants, and specifically queried why her arena audition was not aired.
She added that she was unhappy with her look on Saturday's (October 11) live show, saying that she was made to look like a "Whitney tribute" act.
The 26-year-old also discussed mentor Sharon Osbourne's chances of winning this year's series, as well as whether she regrets entering the show following her early exit.

The X Factor's first 2013 finalist has been eliminated.
Lorna Simpson's time in the competition came to an end following a sing-off with Shelley Smith. The result means that Sharon Osbourne has already lost one of the three contestants from her Overs category.
Smith became the series' first 'Flash Vote' nominee during Saturday's (October 12) 1980s-themed show.
Osbourne immediately abstained from voting, declining to choose between her two acts. Louis Walsh elected to send home Simpson, while Barlow sent home Smith, giving Scherzinger the casting vote. She chose to send Simpson home.
All three hailed the quality of the sing-off performances, with Barlow advising Smith that song choice is "key" for her.
Smith performed 'One Night Only' from the Broadway musical Dreamgirls as her 'save me' song, while Simpson's chosen track for the sing-off was Faith Hill's 'There You'll Be' from the soundtrack to Pearl Harbor.

The final 12 on this year's X Factor performed live for the first time last night, with some acts faring better than others. Sam Bailey gave 'The Power of Love' plenty of oomph, while Sam Callahan had to make do with compliments about being so gosh-darn handsome after an awkward 'Summer of '69' cover.
But it was Shelley Smith who had the worst night as she fell victim to the first 'Flash Vote' of the series. Will Sharon Osbourne's mission to finally win the show be off to a rocky start, or will her Overs remain intact after lines close and the judges vote?

X Factor series 10's Live Shows kicked off with an '80s Week theme. Joy Division, Billy Bragg, C86, Metallica and the Beastie Boys were all surprisingly snubbed as song choices in favour of Whitney, Bryan Adams and Phil Collins.
Who would ever accuse The X Factor of being predictable?
The song choices weren't the only predictable thing on Saturday night as the old Louis Walsh book of clichés was wheeled out ("This is the toughest challenge yet", "The word with you is potential", "international stars", "you've got the whole package"), and a bunch of oiled-up backing dancers and various wacky stage antics (lifts, giant boxes, wind machines) masked many a vocal sin.
Even, Dermot's embarrassing dad opening dance routine has been ditched this year. Did he draw the line at twerking? The whole show has been Barlow-fied. No joke acts. No silliness. Even Sharon Osbourne, when she was vaguely coherent,...

X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has admitted that she didn't like the show's controversial 'chair swap' twist at Boot Camp.
The 60-year-old revealed that the judges were not informed of the format change, which saw contestants replaced by other performers after initially being told they were through, until the day of filming.

However, the mentor of the Over 25s later stated that ultimately she "loved" the twist for bringing "drama" to the show.

If you've got a little bit of a sadistic side (and let's be honest, if you watch X Factor every week, then you must) the Judges' Houses round is the apex of the series.
Everyone cries. Half the contestants get their dreams shredded. Sinitta turns up in a bikini. It makes last week's musical chairs twist look like Dora the Explorer.
At this stage the acts are one step away from the Live Shows and the chance to be the next Leona, One Direction, James Arthur or Rikki Loney (ahem). At the same time they're also one step away from rejection, humiliation and having to return to performing back down at the Dog and Duck for a packet of Scampi Fries and half a shandy.
Sharon Osbourne and her Overs category were up first and they were all joined in sunny Los Angeles by a chirpy Robbie Williams.
"I need to have the winner.

Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh selected their top three Overs and Boys that will perform live on next Saturday night's (October 12) first live episode.
