- Writer
Meghan Warby writes wry, strong-female-character-driven comedies.
Leading a double life for 20 years drew her to complex characters; starting in comedy as a teen - she ended up in political lobbying & ghost-wrote for multinational corporations like Intel, Motorola, Molson, Coca-Cola & PowerBar. These digital posts & productions have reached millions.
Her original comedy pilot 'Ctrl-Alt-Del' was a 2015 Screencraft finalist, her 'Billing, Shilling & Killing' feature film pitch landed her an Austin Film Fest finalist spot, & her first doc short '36 Questions to Love' made the 'Top 5' in TVO's competition. She co-produced/directed/wrote the first seasons of successful comedic webseries 'Juicy,' which is now online.
A graduate of UofT's Screenwriting & Second City's Sketch Writing programs, she performs stand-up, storytelling & musical improv around Toronto.
As North By Northeast Interactive's (NXNEi) Manager in 2013 & 2014 she delivered brain-busting conferences and memorable events. Prior to joining NXNEi & producing comedy projects, Meghan was one of the first Austin Music Foundation staffers, where she developed the 'Music Industry Bootcamp' curriculum for artists & management stateside. In her free time she worries about whether or not she answered your email.
