- After the war, he was member of Parliament at different times and finally president in 2007 of the support committee for Jean-Pierre Chevènement as president.
- He was the last living member of the CNR (Conseil national de la Résistance). He had been, before WWII, part of the staff of French Air minister Pierre Cot of which Jean Moulin was chief, he thus became friends with Moulin. And after the 1940 defeat, he clandestinely met him and they began to form the Resistance organization which became the CNR.
