Born in Bærum, Norway, but has lived most of his life in a small place called Sandsbukta, not far from Molde, Norway. Here he grew up with his father and step-mother. After an incident where his mother lost custody.
He became interested in film at the age of 9 and began making some short films with friends and his oldest half brother at the age of 12. At the age of 16 he began in High School with focus on media and communications. After that he began to study film and television science at Lillehammer University College, and completed a bachelor's degree in 2013. After that he continued his studies with documentary film production, also at Lillehammer University College. During his last year studying, his mother died. The last real conversation he ever had with his mom, was an interview recorded as a part of his graduation film, "Meningen med livet" (The meaning of life).
