Matthew Voss(II)
- Writer
- Producer
- Editor
Matthew Voss is a combat-decorated, service disabled Army Veteran with eighteen years of service; rising through the ranks from Private to Captain. Reconnaissance Scout/Sniper to Infantry Company Commander.
He is a published writer with a B.S. in Public Relations; his background includes a stint as a magazine editor, a counselor for at-risk youth, a surveillance investigator and he even drove a hearse.
He is an accomplished screenwriter and producer, he draws on his adventure-filled life experience to bring a gutty realism and true empathy to his characters and stories.
His vision is to share stories through the medium of film and to share at least one story that truly matters. To not only tell his stories- but to assist Veterans overcoming war injuries in telling their stories. Hence, the not-for-profit film collective: "Face. Express. Overcome."
Today, nose to the grindstone at an undisclosed location in Santa Barbara California, he's scribing action-adventure script Meet Hank for Pinnacle Entertainment; penning the Sniper and the Stripper a long-form television drama; shopping his 80s adventure-comedy Kiss Off! (Hello, Rob Lowe? John Cusack?); polishing up The Summer of Alex, a family-friendly, father-daughter adventure story and developing Top Secret, a reality-based series that follows an eclectic squad of military Veterans around the country completing missions on the home front... just think "Extreme 'Whatever' Makeover" meets "The A-Team" but with discipline.
