Frances Presley Rice is a Screenwriter, Director and Executive Producer with Block Starz Music Television LLC. The studio is best known for its documentary film, Oscar Micheaux: The Czar of Black Hollywood which was nominated for a Black Reel Award as the Outstanding Independent Documentary by the Foundation for the Advancement of African-Americans in Film. She won the award for Best Producer in the 2021 Freedom Festival International for the epic three-part documentary, Black Seeds: The History of Africans In America. The film won the award of Best Documentary Feature in the Denton Black Film Festival. It received an Honorable Mention in the Orlando International Film Festival. The film was an official selection of the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, the African Film Festival, and the Denton Black Film Festival. She is an alumnus of Hollywood-based ScreenwritingU with a Master Screenwriting Certificate.
