Alex Patrick is an executive producer at Cameron Pictures, an independent film and television production company based in Toronto, Ontario founded by Amy Cameron and Tassie Cameron.
Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Studies and History and a Juris Doctor (Law) degree from Queen's University, where he was also an Academic All-Canadian wide receiver for the Queen's Golden Gaels varsity football team.
Alex is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and his previous work experience includes interning at the Clinton Foundation in New York, NY and assisting a former Minister of Justice with his post-political career transition. Alex articled at Goodmans LLP in Toronto before joining the Newfoundland based independent production company Take the Shot Productions Inc. in 2011 as Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs. Alex was subsequently named President of Take the Shot Productions in 2014 and was instrumental in pitching, financing, and executive producing the award winning drama Frontier, starring Jason Momoa. At the time of its commissioning by Bell Media and Netflix in 2015, Frontier was only the second "Canadian Content" Netflix Original Series in history.
Alex was named "5 to Watch" by Playback Magazine in 2016 and "Forty Under 40" by the Ottawa Business Journal in 2019. Alex sits on the Board of Directors of the Ashbury College Foundation, and is an Advisory Board member for the Ottawa Film Office and Algonquin College's Film and Media Production Program.
Alex's executive producing credits include the CBC/Amazon Original Series Pretty Hard Cases starring Meredith MacNeill and Adrienne C. Moore, as well as the award winning Netflix/Bell Media leading drama Frontier, and the critically acclaimed CBC series Caught and Little Dog.
