2Nd Update: Well, that didn’t take long. Hours after news broke that chief strategist is leaving the Trump administration, Breitbart announced that he is returning to the alt-right outlet as executive chairman — the post he held from 2012-16 before joining Donald Trump’s campaign. Breitbart.com’s headline on its Bannon story calls him a “populist hero.” "The populist-nationalist movement got a lot stronger today," Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow said in the…...

This week’s Real Time with Bill Maher guests were Breitbart editor-in-chief Alex Marlow, political analyst Ian Bremmer, veteran national security expert Malcolm Nance and performer Eddie Izzard. It was the opening interview with Marlow that had social media aflame as Marlow and Maher agreed on free speech but veered away from each over the Russian news stories. Interestingly Maher didn’t ask Marlow anything about former staffer Milo Yiannopoulos’ outlandish prior remarks. Maher brought up the furor while talking about attacks on free speech, but in a twist, he seemed to agree with those who say the play went too far. “Now I’m fond of saying to Republicans all the time ‘now if Obama did it…...

Update With New Video In some odd conversational and attitudinal twists, Bill Maher sided with Megyn Kelly in the same hour he criticized New York’s Public Theater production that features a Trump-like Julius Caesar. And that was all before one guest demanded an apology from another for allegedly inspiring a campaign of death threats. In his top-of-show interview with Breitbart News editor Alex Marlow, Maher said that freedom of speech sometimes should take a “pause,” and…...

Tonight’s HBO Real Time with Bill Maher will see both sides of the political coin represented as Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow headlines and Brit transgender comedian Eddie Izzard drops by for a chat. Marlow was included in the focus of a cover story in Newsweek magazine that outlined how Breitbart has catapulted to a top ranking as a news website and was instrumental in helping to elect Donald Trump to the presidency. Also on Real Time’s panel are president of global risk assessment firm Eurasia Group Ian Bremmer and retired U.S. Navy officer, Malcolm Nance. In a Washington Post interview Bremmer laid out how...read more...
