While can't read music plays the piano, guitar, Sax ,trumpet, flute and drums and creates and scores his own music for productions.
On his news side he and his daughter have produced more then 70 news items vetted for use on CNN under the names Oldecam and Notaspringchick.
There were times while on Location he was forced to act as translator from English to German and German to English.
More then 50% of the westerns he was in either no longer exist or only exist in cut-up TV versions.
In over 80 years of work has done small parts in over 1,000 projects and done more then 1,000 newscasts.
