- Actor
Zen Taylor is known for Act of Contrition (2019), directed by Tom Dallis and Vin Morreale Jr., and produced by Gregory Patrick Agnew and Michael Loos. He grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. Zen was cast as King Raynah in Scheherazade after his very first audition in middle school. He has been interested in acting ever since.
While in high school, Zen benefited greatly from his acting and voice teachers. He took drama and speech classes from Lisa Harris. Mrs. Harris was also his High School Theater Director for his first two years of high school. Under her leadership, Zen learned a lot and had many opportunities. Zen was a member of his high school men's chorus under the direction of Mr. Phil Clary, and was also a member of the Premieres Choir under the direction of Mrs. Deborah Centers. Zen also studied voice with David Urbon for two years at The Cincinnati Music Academy and with Sean Baley at The Musical Arts Center for another two years. Zen is now a full-time college student majoring in Economics.
Most of Zen's professional acting training has come from his private acting coach and manager, Carrie-Ellen Zappa. She has prepared him for many auditions.
