James K. Crouch's versatility as an editor is demonstrated in the depth and range of his work. His most notable film to date starred Luke Wilson and Martin Sheen in the exciting true story called, 12 Mighty Orphans which was released by Sony Pictures Classics in 2021. James then went onto edit, The Blazing World, which had its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. In 2022 James finished editing, The Long Game, starring Jay Hernandez, Dennis Quaid, and Julian Works, which will have its world premiere at 2023 SXSW Film Festival and was number 1 on Netflix.
Other feature-length projects include the dramas, The Accidental Texan, starring Thomas Haden Church, Rudy Pankow, and Carrie-Anne Moss.The Iron Orchard (Austin Film Festival, Cameraimage), Porvenir, Texas (PBS Documentary) The Teller and The Truth, 2019 sports documentary Jumpshot: The Kenny Sailors Story (SXSX Film Festival 2019); and 2015 documentary Road to ACL. In 2023 James teamed up with his longest collaborator, Ty Roberts for his next picture, You Gotta Believe starring Greg Kinear and Luke Wilson. Most recently James joined the editing team for Terrence Malick's latest film The Way of the Wind.
