Lachlan Anderson (AUS/NZ) is a screen composer, he has recently completed the score to Sasha Rainbow's debut Body-Horror film Grafted, which will be released later this year, he has previously scored the soundtrack to David Farrier's (Tickled, Dark Tourist) latest investigative documentary Mister Organ which is out on Netflix now. Apart from film scoring, Lachlan is known as the bass player in Aotearoa NZ noisy 3- piece band Die! Die! Die! who have released 7 albums and toured around the globe since over a decade.
Lachlan has contributed to the soundtrack and sound design of artist Jess Johnson and director Simon Ward's new planetarium experience called XYZZY which is currently screening at Liberty Science Center in New Jersey.
Anderson has composed music for several international productions, including the acclaimed slow-burn psychological thriller Netflix series Tabula Rasa (nomination Best Score for a TV show at the Camille Awards), Horror/ Action Shudder/AMC series The Dead Lands (nomination Best Original Music in a Series at the APRA Silver Scrolls & Best Original Music at NZTV awards) and the groundbreaking, Emmy-winning Hulu drama Rurangi.
His multi-layered, incredibly atmospheric music also contributed to the London-based true-life Netflix thriller 6 Days and psychological survival thriller The Boat (Nominated for Best Original Score at The Malta Film Awards) plus several documentaries including Mothers of the Revolution, Dawn Raid and Billion $ Heist.
Lachlan's music combines a wide range of practices to create his unique scores, from traditional or handmade instruments to otherworldly sound design to match the groundbreaking stories that need a non-conformist music treatment.
