Julie Cordell-Seamons was born and raised in Utah county. Her first performance was in kindergarten where she played a tree. She was supposed to sing a duet with a fellow student but he chickened out. Julie performed the song as a solo and was bitten by the acting bug. From that moment on, Julie performed in plays through her school and community. In high school she participated in multiple drama competitions. She won a best actress award at a regional competition for her death scene in a play. She has also won multiple local competitions in high school.
Julie switched to film as an adult. She has continued to compete. Julie has won three best actress awards from the local Ten Show competition at The Hive Collaborative. Julie has acted in short films, commercials, training videos, feature films and web series.
Julie enjoys learning different roles within the industry. She has worked as a script supervisor, art department assistant, writer, producer and director. Julie has written multiple short films. 'Silent Night', a short film she co-wrote and co-directed, won best director at a local film festival.
Julie continues to work on her craft by taking classes and workshops. She has worked with some of the best instructors in Utah. Julie has been doing improv for over a year with LA improv star Melinda Chilton. Julie has a natural comedic timing and appreciation for all things funny. Julie recently started her hand at stand up comedy and continues to write.
