Jacqui Blue(I)
- Producer
- Director
- Writer
Jacqui Blue, born "Jacqulyn Smith", in North Miami Beach FL, was always
interested in the art and entertainment world. She started taking
acting classes at the age of six and started writing poetry & short
stories at the age of nine. She continued to pursue both; acting as a
fun hobby whereas writing was a passion and a skill she continued to
develop over the years. In the preteen years she discovered a real love
and enjoyment for photography, even persuading (with a small group of
friends) one of her middle school art teachers to re-open the darkroom
and start a photography club. In the late teen years Jacqui began
painting. In High School she performed in a feature play on stage as
Ginny in a production of For Whom The Southern Bell Tolls and wrote her
first novel senior year, which was published in the High School
Literary Magazine. She continued to pursue many of her artistic outlets
through the years, eventually leading her to digital photography and a
whole new world of video editing, which eventually led her to the idea
that she could make films. Taking years of experience and a lifetime of
love and passion immersed in the world of art and entertainment, Jacqui
put herself through film school in 2011, while homeschooling and
raising her five young sons. During her time in film school she worked
with the Florida Media Market, worked the 2013 Annual Bridge to the
World Conference and as a video editor for the Florida Media Market's
Project-A-Thon. Immediately after film school, she worked on completing
the documentary idea she started in 2011. Combining her knowledge,
passion and talents, Jacqui Blue decided that documentary filmmaking
was a great way to make her voice heard. She has only just begun.
