This article contains spoilers through the Manifest series finale.
After keeping viewers captivated since 2018, Manifest finally reached its thrilling conclusion as season 4 part 2 landed on Netflix on Friday. While the series answered most of our burning questions regarding the mystery of Flight 828 and whether passengers could survive the Death Date, it did leave viewers with many questions regarding the show’s arc and whether some deaths were necessary.
For most of the last ten episodes of Manifest, flight 828 passengers found themselves locked in a detention center by the Registry because of public fear and the government wanting to do scientific experiments on them. The passenger’s position in the detention center hindered their ability to solve their callings and figure out what needed to be done to help them survive the Death Date.

Flight 828 has finally landed. After four seasons of solving countless mysteries and trying to figure out how to avoid their approaching Death Date, the passengers at the center of Netflix's "Manifest" have finally met their fate.
"Manifest" focuses on a group of people who board a flight home from the Bahamas in 2013 - only to touch down in 2018, though to them it seems like no time has passed. The passengers soon find themselves receiving mysterious visions they call Callings, which often lead them to save lives or solve crimes. As the show progresses, though, it becomes clear that the Callings are actually warning the passengers about an upcoming Death Date, which they eventually discover doesn't only apply to them; instead, the whole world seems to be facing an apocalypse. Helmed by siblings Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) and Ben Stone (Josh Dallas), the passengers set out to save the world.

The action picks up on May 31, 2024, two days before the Death Date, as Netflix’s Manifest season four episode 18 opens. The government can’t stop the volcanic activity and Saanvi’s being blamed for not helping them enough to get the situation under control.
The public’s being kept in the dark about the impending extinction-level event and have no idea what’s causing the seismic activity.
Troy (Ed Herbstman) suggests using an electromagnetic pulse to block the Ulf, and he’s ordered to try it first on the black box. Saanvi (Parveen Kaur) is concerned the experiment will wipe out the box’s data – but that won’t matter if the world ends anyway.

Manifest concludes its four-season run with the release of season four part two on June 2, 2023. Part one wrapped up with episode 10, “Inversion Illusion,” which found Zeke sacrificing his life to save Cal.
Zeke overheard Olive describing Cal as the dragon who can save everyone. If he dies, all is lost. Zeke, being the decent man we’ve come to know and love, knew he was the only one capable of pulling Cal back from the brink of death. Zeke’s now dead as part two picks up, and Cal’s in perfect health thanks to Zeke’s courageous act.
Zeke’s death leading to Cal’s survival was just one of the key events that transpired in episode 10. (Here’s a full recap for those who need a refresher.) Episode 11 picks up with all 828ers in confinement and...

The missing-plane drama Manifest has had a hell of a ride. First came the now infamous cancellation by NBC, followed by months of uncertainty over the show’s remaining two seasons and then culminating in a last-minute, 20-episode order from Netflix. The second half of the abbreviated final season will hit the streamer June 2 — right in the middle of the WGA strike that prohibits its prolific writer-showrunner, Jeff Rake, from promoting the series.
Luckily for the show, star Josh Dallas (who plays Flight 828 passenger Ben Stone and will appear at the Atx TV Festival with other castmembers June 1) is picking up the baton. He spoke to THR — while enjoying his time at home in L.A. with his wife, actress Ginnifer Goodwin, and their two young children after five years of production in New York — about Manifest‘s marquee ending and the state of episodic television going forward.

Jeff Rake created the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Jack Rapke, Jackie Levine, Robert Zemeckis, Len Goldstein, and Romeo Tirone.

Our favorite 828ers have seen better days, and it's hard not to worry about how their journies will end.
On Thursday, Netflix went public with the official trailer for the second half of Manifest Season 4, and it's a lot to process.
"When we boarded [Flight] 828, we had no idea what a tortured, life-changing journey we were about to embark on," Josh Dallas' Ben Stone says atop the new trailer.
We're then subjected to the complicated perils that come with the mysterious death date.
Angelina is very clearly on one and won't stop until she's achieved what she believes to be her calling.
We already know Angelina was devoted to the cause when she stabbed Grace, indulged in saphire, and gave her best apocalypse pose at the close of the first half of Manifest Season 4.
The Stones and everyone else are trying to comprehend what the end looks like, and I dare...

“When we boarded [Flight] 828, we had no idea what a tortured, life-changing journey we were about to embark on,” Josh Dallas’ Ben Stone orates in the full trailer for Manifest’s 10 remaining Season 4 episodes, which land Friday, June 2 on Netflix.
The above sneak peek — unveiled on Thursday — teases end-of-the-world stakes as the 828ers struggle with answering enough Callings to save everyone before the Death Date arrives. The whole gang is back, including Ben, Michaela, Saanvi, Jared, Cal, Olive and… Zeke? As you’ll recall, Zeke sacrificed his life to save Cal in midseason finale, but his presence in the official preview is a welcome surprise.

These days, Seth Rogen is showing up in Steven Spielberg movies and posting pictures of his pottery on Twitter. But back in the early-2000s, he had a near-legendary run appearing in Judd Apatow comedies, which truly jump-started his career. After his supporting role alongside Steve Carell in Apatow's 2005 effort "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," Rogen took on the starring role in the director's next project: the romantic comedy "Knocked Up."
Playing Ben Stone, the lovable stoner with a slacker mentality, the actor was described by Peter Sciretta in /Film's original "Knocked Up" review, as someone who "reminds me of a lot of my friends." Scenes with Ben and his band of layabout buddies feel like you're watching actual friends hanging out and busting balls. In fact, the movie succeeded in realistically depicting all kinds of life situations. Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann's Pete and Debbie felt so much like an...

When NBC canceled Manifest after three seasons, there were many unhappy fans because the series had a tightly-woven mystery.
Thankfully, Netflix stepped in to save the day and picked up Manifest Season 4.
We've watched the first half of the season, and all we can do is wait for the final 10 episodes to wrap up the series for good.
It's time to look at the new episodes' strengths and weaknesses.

High-concept dramas have a knack for making the mystery too convoluted as the series continues, but "Rendez-vous" revealed some big shockers about the mythology that set the stage for the coming events.
It was also the first time people not on Flight 828 were seen on the plane, leading to the revelation that the entire world was in danger on the death date.

If you’ve ever been aboard an international flight, you know just how crowded those things can get. So naturally, the “Manifest” cast is pretty huge. First released on NBC and now streaming on Netflix, the record-breaking show follows the passengers of a plane that disappears mid-flight and lands five years later without explanation, or anyone on board noticing something was wrong.
But once they land, the Flight 828 passengers find their lives forever changed — and forever connected — through a series of visions dubbed “Callings,” which drive the 828ers to solve crimes, uncover mysteries and continually reunite thanks to the influences of a force they never fully understand.
“Manifest” just returned with the first half of a super-sized 20-episode fourth and final season, and as the series starts to pay off the promise that “it’s all connected,” many of the 828 passengers make their return, along with some new faces — or in Cal’s case,...

Ben Stone has many talents, but he might have made a grave mistake by going to Adrian's home alone.
Manifest Season 4 Episode 4 was another answer-filled affair that set the stage for some big revelations.
Ben's journey throughout Manifest Season 4 so far has been to find his daughter by any means necessary, even if that means souring relationships with his nearest and dearest.
Knowing that Vance's marriage imploded after Eagan's reign of terror, Ben elected to embark on this mission alone.
It was a selfless act and one that will likely come back to haunt him.
We didn't spend any time inside Adrian's house on "Go-Around," which leads me to believe there will be some significant shifts when we venture back inside.
Erika heard Angelina yell at Eden on Manifest Season 4 Episode 3, so she knew Adrian was keeping someone away from everyone else.

Cal (Ty Doran) joins them and looks like he hasn’t slept in days. Michaela assures him they love him and are ready to support him however he needs.
Michaela leaves, and now it’s Saanvi’s turn to join the group. Saanvi (Parveen Kaur) reveals the black box recording includes Capt. Daly crying for help during the turbulence.

Manifest series creator Jeff Rake will finally have the opportunity to answer all the lingering questions with the much-anticipated fourth – and final – season, premiering on Netflix on November 4, 2022. Viewership numbers for seasons one and two on the streaming service were so impressive that Netflix executives made Manifest fans’ dreams come true by granting the canceled series one final season.
Season four is divided into two parts, with the first 10 episodes arriving on Nov. 4th. The final 10 episodes will follow in 2023.
Manifest season four episode one picks up two years after Angelina (Holly Taylor) murdered Ben’s wife, Grace (Athena Karkanis), and kidnapped their baby, Eden. The story also picks up with Cal, who aged five years during the season three finale, now seven years older and still very confused about what’s happened to him.

Manifest, which is preparing to land for one final season on Netflix after its untimely cancellation by NBC, has been nothing short of a bumpy ride. However, the TV series has captivated viewers with its story of the Montego Airways Flight 828 passengers, who landed in New York City to the shock of a lifetime. They had been missing for five and a half years and presumed dead in which time their loved ones all aged, but they returned completely unchanged.
Throughout three seasons, we’ve watched the passengers struggle to adapt to their new reality, which has changed their relationships with their families, made them garner often-unwanted attention, and put them in difficult and dangerous situations as their return gave them prophetic visions and thoughts known as “Callings.”
But that’s not all, so before things get rolling again, let’s look back at where the show left us…

Will the divine nature of the callings ever truly be known? Is there a scientific explanation behind the dark lightning and the time jumps? Is the death date avoidable, or is it even real? We asked the cast members, as fans of their own show, what their favorite long-held mysteries were now that they know what audiences are about to discover.
For J. R. Ramirez, the actor behind the intrepid police detective Jared Vasquez, the majority of the dramatic tension comes from the looming danger presented by the so called “death date,” a presumed expiration date for all Flight 828 passengers based on the amount of time the airplane leaped forward into the future. “The fact that there’s this looming,...
