Candid Broads Productions and 222 Pictures have signed a transatlantic multi-picture co-pro deal.
Candid Broads Productions is a female-pioneering prod-co based in London and founded by Oriane Pick while 222 pictures is led by creative producer Sean Patrick Burke and executive producer Tiffany Burke.
The first project out of the gate is Mena Suvari starrer “Anatomy of the Sun,” a psychological thriller which also features Antoine Olivier Pilon. Written and directed by Steven Richter, the film stars Pilon as a music producer haunted by visions of his dead sister while Suvari plays his mother.

French actress Kim Higelin will lead the cast of Earl Grey, a UK-French co-production by debut director Ornella Pacchioni.
Earl Grey is adapted from Pacchioni’s 2022 novel Londres a beau etre une ville laide. It is a co-production between France’s Master Movies and UK company Candid Broads Productions, with backing from French network France2.
The film follows the story of a French girl living in London who, on the day of her 23rd birthday, allows herself 24 hours before ending her life; until she meets an enigmatic stranger.

“Sherlock” star Amanda Abbington has been tapped to appear in Ludovica Musumeci debut feature, “To the Girl I Once Knew.”
The film, which Musumeci writes and directs, has also cast Amelia Eve (“The Haunting of Bly Manor”) and Stella Lelouch (“The Reunion”).

U.K. broadcaster Channel 4 has picked up South African detective drama “The Cane Field Killings” starring Kim Engelbrecht (“Bullet Proof”) and Iain Glen (“Game of Thrones”). The eight-episode series, which launched last year in South Africa, will launch on Channel 4 on Apr. 10. The drama tells the story of a brilliant criminal profiler, Reyka Gama (Engelbrecht), who is struggling to comes to terms with her dark past. Having been abducted as a child by farmer Angus Speelman (Glen), Reyka now channels that traumatic experience to enter into the mindset of Africa’s most notorious criminals. The series follows her investigation into a string of brutal murders committed by a serial killer in the sugar cane fields of Kwa-Zulu-Natal.
The show is produced by Serena Cullen for Serena Cullen Productions and Harriet Gavshon for Quizzical Pictures. “The Cane Field Killings” is a co-production between M-Net and Fremantle and is distributed internationally by Fremantle.
