Born and raised in Venezuela, Carolina Sandoval got her bachelor's degree in Mass Communication - Audiovisual Arts then moved out to Los Angeles and earned a one-year Filmmaking Certificate at the New York Film Academy, Burbank in 2014. Her passion for film producing came after she produced and directed her thesis film R.E.M (2014) which got into California Women's Film Festival. Carolina continued her journey in the producing field, producing a numerous of short films including "Dreamcatcher" and the award-winning short "Film School Musical" which was directed by Maan B. and Talha B. who often collaborate together as directors, writers, and producers. Film School Musical won Best Shorts Competition [Award of Merit] for Best short film, Best Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Viewer Impact/Entertainment Value. Rochester International Film Festival [Certificate of Merit] for Best short Film. Top Shorts Film Festival "Jury Prize" for Best Musical and Cinematography. The film was also an official selection of the Oxford International Film Festival, Directors Circle Festival of Shorts, The Short Film Awards, Lone Star Film Festival, Holly Shorts, Indie Night Film Festival and Hollywood Comedy shorts and much more.
In the last quarter of 2016, Carolina was hired as Production Manager for a Saudi Arabian single-camera sitcom TV series titled "CUT" which is now in post-production and will be premiering on the network channel "MBC" in Summer 2017.
Carolina is working on her first feature film which is going to be shot in the Spring of 2017.
