Kin Community is giving a few of its partners home makeovers in a way that is both entertaining and shoppable. The digital network has joined forces with Amazon Home for new episodes of its series Overhaul, in which YouTube stars get their spaces redone with items that can be purchased through each video.
Overhaul is hosted by Christiane Lemieux, an interior design maven and the co-founder of Cloth & Company. She first brought her skills to Kin Community in 2015, back when she worked for home decor brand Wayfair. In that version of Overhaul, Lemieux engineered a new space for YouTube star Rosanna Pansino, who will also appear in the new version of the show. The list of featured guests also includes makeup guru Teni Panosian.
In bringing the series to Amazon, Kin Community will present Overhaul on a platform that is bullish on shoppable content. The digital retailer recently launched a feed of shoppable content Spark,...

At an intimate NewFronts event last night, held within the home of Kin Community creator Christiane Lemieux, the lifestyle network announced its renewed commitment to the home space -- including decor and Diy -- as well as several forthcoming series from its roster of high-profile stars. A to Z Cooking, for instance, a series about food facts and cooking tips, will star Hannah Hart and premiere on her channel later this year.
“We believe home is where all the meaningful things in your life come together,” Kin’s co-founder and CEO Michael Wayne said in a statement. “Kin’s content, community of creators, and purpose are around helping people figure out how to make their way home.”
Kin, which comprises a network of just 150 creators and says its 650 million monthly views are 77% female, is set to streamline its own flagship YouTube channel, the company said. As opposed to showcasing a variety of creators,...

Lifestyle network Kin Community announced today that it has signed creators Jenn Im and Stephanie Villa to its burgeoning roster. Im and Villa, whose ClothesEncounters and SoothingSista channels boast 1.6 million and 275,000 subscribers respectively, were both previously with Maker Studios.
The real-life best friends will be making their official debut as Kin members at the company’s intimate NewFront presentation tomorrow -- to be held at the home of Kin creator Christiane Lemieux -- where they will also announce an original series together.
While Im’s channel focuses on fashion and her so-called ‘Jenn’s Gems’ fans also number 1.2 million on Instagram, Villa provides self-empowerment and confidence tips in addition to beauty and styling advice. Both are managed by The Rare Collective and represented by United Talent Agency.

Wayfair is well-known in the home furnishings and decor arena, and soon it will be more prominent in the online video world, too. The interior design-based company has partnered with female-centric YouTube multi-channel network Kin Community to launch the new web series Overhaul on May 9, 2015.
Created and hosted by Wayfair’s executive creative director Christiane Lemieux, Overhaul will introduce viewers to the latest home decorating styles and trends, all through home makeovers and design solutions for some of today’s most recognized celebrities. Viewers will be able to click within each video to be taken to the “Kin Store” on wayfair.com to buy the products featured in each episode.
The first star to get a home makeover is YouTube’s own Rosanna Pansino, a lifestyle and baking vlogger famous for her Nerdy Nummies series (which landed her a tutorial-making deal with Wilton cake brand). Pansino, boasting over 3.8 million subscribers on her YouTube channel,...
